When will you shake the dust off your soul?
My mission with Thrive with MS has been to show that even when something unexpected comes our way, we don't have to fear it. It's our choice whether or not to classify certain life events as "horrible" or "the worst."
We don't have to accept society's or the medical community's or our family's and friend's fears. What matters is the mettle of our spirit, and THAT we all have in spades.
That strength may feel buried, but sometimes a life-changing moment is there to help us shake the dust off our soul.
Instead of fear, I encourage you to find empowerment, in whatever you're dealing with.
"Let's all of us shift. From fear into empowerment."
That quote is from this week's video, a conversation with documentarian Sharad Kharé. Sharad has interviewed Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Susan Sarandon and MANY others, all true luminaries. So I was humbled and grateful to have had some time to chat with him about the inspiration for Thrive with MS, and the shifts we can ALL make into a better state of living.
Thank you to my beautiful and loving friend, Meaghan Kennedy Townsend for introducing me to Sharad, and my heart-full thanks to both of you for supporting Thrive's message.
Shout outs! Still photos by Kirby Trapolino and Deidre Schoo. Anyone into awesome yoga handstands (while pregnant w twins!), can follow Meaghan on Facebook. And Sharad's YouTube channel is the spot for more of his conversations with the coolest people on the planet (including my dream boyfriend, Waris Ahluwalia :D ).
